Head Covering Christian Women Hit the Streets...

I just spent 2 days with some wonderful friends and Godly ladies.
We were on a mission - a bargain hunting mission.  In other words -
for 2 days we hit thrift and discount stores looking for treasures.
But we had a 2nd equal and important mission...
and that was to represent Jesus everywhere we went.

We did find great stuff...

a lot of stuff...

And we had sweet times of sharing and fellowship around the Word...

But when we hit the streets... I was intrigued with how folks
were drawn to us.  (not necessarily evident in these photos.)
People seemed to love to chat with us.  It was our prayer
that we would shine the light of Jesus where ever we went,
through everyday living and shopping.

It was a joy to talk with strangers and feel their excitement in encountering us.
We were not anything special - just 17 ladies with smiles and
joy on our faces - dressing modestly and wearing head coverings.
But you could feel Jesus join our journey and I trust He was glorified.
Don't be afraid to be 'different'... it may be just what someone is longing for!

An Instant Witness....

One of the amazing things about wearing a headcovering
is the instant witness it gives to those around us.
I am convicted to wear my headcovering during all
waking hours.  So when I am out shopping - yes - I am 'covered'.
Recently at a shoe store... a young male employee came up to me and wished me a good evening -
wondering how I was and if I had had a good day.
I assured him I did have a good day and inquired of his as well.
I was pleasantly surprised when he responded that it was a
good day to be with his Creator.  I had to smile.
We went on to have a brief and pleasant chat -
realizing that we were both choosing to live for Jesus.
I am fully convinced this young man approached me
in the manner he did and shared the things he did
because of my headcovering and modest dress.
They instantly speak 'daughter of the King' or someone of faith
and may give someone else an opportunity to 'give witness' as well.
Obedience has many blessings - a good testimony is one of them!
My friends fabric shopping - or 'being a witness' in Walmart :)
